Building bridges: TMC’s Tunisian Talent Hub

In 2023, TMC opened its Tunisian Talent Hub: a center designed to connect skilled professionals in Tunisia with TMC entities across Europe and the Middle East. What started as a small initiative has grown into a valuable part of TMC’s international strategy. We spoke with Nassim Daoudi, International Director, and Laurence Radelet, Head of Global Recruitment, about how the hub came to life, its role today, and where it’s heading next.

Could you start by introducing your current role at TMC?

Nassim: I’m International Director, responsible for driving TMC’s international business growth.

Laurence: I’m Head of Global Recruitment. I look after the Tunisian Talent Hub, making sure the team can perform and grow. I also recruit internal staff for new and existing TMC entities, run SPOC meetings, and I’m involved in projects like our new ATS/CRM system and the VIE program.

How did you get involved with the Tunisian Talent Hub?

Nassim: I helped set it up, with the idea that it should serve as an engine for international talent and a key part of our international strategy.

Laurence: I joined about a year and a half ago, while I was still leading the Belgian HRBP team. At first, I focused on identifying challenges and helping the Tunisian team perform better. The success was clear quite quickly - and that’s when Nassim asked me to join the project permanently.

Where did the idea for the Talent Hub come from?

Nassim: We launched it in late 2023 to centralize recruitment and talent support for France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Middle East. The vision was to create one hub that works faster, can scale when needed, and strengthens TMC’s presence in competitive talent markets. It also helps us serve clients who are active across these regions, which further reinforces our position with them.

Why Tunisia?

Nassim: Tunisia offers a strong multilingual talent pool and is geographically close to both Europe and the Middle East. It’s a good location to build bridges between regions and support TMC’s international ambitions.

How has the hub grown since then?

Nassim: We started small, but today it’s a mature Talent Hub that supports several TMC entities and helps us strengthen our relationships with clients across the region.

What does the team actually do day to day?

Nassim: The hub is fully focused on talent support - sourcing, interviewing, and building pipelines for different TMC entities.

Laurence: On top of that, the team offers Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and local recruitment services. Each BPO team member is dedicated full-time to a specific entity, while the local recruitment team steps in where needed, depending on the workload.

Collaboration is key at TMC, how does that work with the hub?

Nassim: We’re in daily contact with local TMC cells. The hub acts as an extended arm of their recruitment teams.

Laurence: The setup is very collaborative. Entities can count on someone fully dedicated to their needs, which makes the impact very real and visible.

What kind of impact does the hub have, both locally and internationally?

Nassim: Locally, it opens career opportunities in Tunisia and connects talented professionals to international roles. Internationally, it helps TMC scale faster in competitive markets and also strengthens relationships with clients who are active across borders.

What makes this hub stand out?

Nassim: I believe the real strength is our team. They’re skilled, motivated and have a strong international mindset.

Laurence: Absolutely. I’d add that the team is dedicated, flexible and reliable. More and more entities are reaching out for support, or even asking someone from the hub to work full-time for them. That reflects the trust and value we bring.

Any proud moments you’d like to share?

Nassim: For me, it’s the pipelines we’ve built for France and the Middle East. Already more than 30 professionals have joined TMC thanks to the hub.

Laurence: I’m especially proud of two colleagues from the Tunisian BPO team who became permanent employees at the entities they first supported. Their dedication and performance really stood out.

How has this initiative influenced you personally?

Nassim: It showed me just how valuable international hubs can be, and it makes me proud of the talent we have in Tunisia.

Laurence: I’ve learned it takes time to get familiar with a market, but once both parties are genuinely collaborative and supportive, it can lead to great results.

And finally, how do you see the future of the Tunisian Talent Hub?

Nassim: I see us expanding our recruitment capacity and developing into a true center of excellence for international talent. The aim is to keep supporting TMC’s international growth in a sustainable way.

Laurence: For me, the next step is nearshoring - bringing more activities closer to Tunisia. Over time, I’d also like to see the hub contribute further to local business development, so it plays a role both internationally and within Tunisia itself.
