Validation & Verification Systems Engineer

About this vacancy

The role will be responsible for **coordinating and carrying out verification and validation activities** throughout all phases of the satellite lifecycle, ensuring full compliance with mission requirements and the success of the project. The position requires a systemic vision, technical coordination skills, and continuous interaction with multidisciplinary teams, quality, and operations. ### **Key Responsibilities** - V&V responsibility on space projects during all mission phases (Phase 0/A – E) - Definition of the modeling philosophy, approach, and verification strategy - Drafting and execution of the **AIV Plan** - Drafting and coordinating test specifications, involving all technical disciplines - Management of the **Verification Control Document (VCD)** and collection of verification reports - Planning and monitoring the verification plan, with reporting to the Integrated Project Team - Coordination with the Mission Architect, Technical Lead, and project technical figures - Support to Systems Engineers in defining and managing requirements - Preparation of technical documentation, reports, and technical notes - Support to the Flight Operations Team during mission definition and execution - Interface with the Quality department and participation in NRB/NCR processes and configuration control

What we expect from you

General Requirements

• Master's degree in Aerospace/Space Engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in roles related to V&V or Systems Engineering (preferably space)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams
• Native Italian, Fluent written and spoken English
• Knowledge of mission, system, and subsystem requirements definition and validation
• Understanding of spacecraft and subsystem modeling philosophies
• Good knowledge of satellite architecture (CubeSat and SmallSat)
• Familiarity with mission phases according to ECSS standards
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and tools
• Knowledge of subsystem interfaces (data, power, electrical)
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (ECSS, MIL, NASA STD)
• Understanding of space component technologies and the SmallSat market
• Knowledge of Product Assurance and Quality processes
• Familiarity with system budgets (mass, power, energy, volume)
• Experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) approach
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence in Agile contexts
• Experience in satellite operations in orbit
• Participation in project reviews under the supervision of Space Agencies (ESA, NASA, ASI)
