About this vacancy

The energy transition requires a significant expansion of the electricity grid in the Veluwe region. To address challenges related to grid congestion, we are working on new connections, stations, and expansions of existing infrastructure. As a Junior Technical Manager, you are part of this solution. Starting from the conceptual design phase, you contribute ideas on the most effective, feasible, and future-proof technical solutions.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Junior Technical Manager. In this role, you support and relieve the Technical Manager of daily tasks and actively contribute to the preparation, execution, and management of diverse projects within the energy transition. You take over operational, preparatory, and coordinating activities so that the Technical Manager can focus on complex technical issues, risk management, and strategic decision-making within the projects.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Proactively taking over tasks from the Technical Manager and acting as the first point of contact for technical matters that can be handled independently
  • Managing the technical activities carried out by contractors and other involved parties
  • Supporting the Technical Manager in coordinating, monitoring, and executing projects
  • Inspecting technical deliverables, designs, and handover documentation for quality, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and contractual agreements
  • Monitoring the progress, planning, and costs of technical activities and promptly identifying deviations
  • Identifying risks, bottlenecks, and issues within projects and coordinating these with internal stakeholders and project partners
  • Evaluating technical solutions and designs for feasibility, workability, and efficiency
  • Ensuring agreed deliverables are provided on time and within budget
  • Assisting with permitting processes, material supply, and other technical project procedures when needed
  • Contributing to the safety assurance within the contract, including internal and external safety and HSE, and aligning with the WV-er and OIV-er on electrical safety issues and risk management
  • Guiding and supporting contractor personnel in expanding their responsibilities and roles within the project

As a Junior Technical Manager, you serve as the right hand of the Technical Manager and play a connecting role between the internal organization and the contractor. You maintain oversight, safeguard the quality of delivered products, and ensure that technical activities are carried out as agreed. By timely identifying, coordinating, and adjusting, you help ensure predictable project execution and a viable end result. The role is dynamic and offers ample opportunity to contribute ideas, take responsibility, and further develop yourself within complex infrastructural projects.

What we expect from you

Working towards an organization that is future-proof. You do this by leveraging your own strengths and talents. And you do this with us. Will you contribute to this with your innovative solutions? Fantastic! Especially if you complement it with:
