About this vacancy

The activities will involve the full development of eDrive systems (electric motor, inverter, and e-auxiliaries), working in an international and highly innovative context in the automotive/electrification sector.

The search targets various profiles, including:

  • Design Responsible Engineer
  • Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Virtual Design Engineer
  • Validation Engineer

Depending on the role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the entire eDrive system life cycle: requirements definition, design, simulation, and validation. 
  • Develop and optimize electrical and mechanical components (motor, inverter, cooling systems, structures) ensuring performance and reliability. 
  • Perform multi-physics simulations (FEA, CFD, EMAG, NVH) and correlate models with experimental data. 
  • Define and manage validation activities (DVP&R, functional, environmental, and durability testing) and provide support for test benches and prototypes. 
  • Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams (system, manufacturing, validation) to ensure project convergence and industrialization. 

What we expect from you

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive Engineering or related fields
  • At least 3+ years of experience in eDrive / electric powertrain
  • Knowledge of eDrive systems: electric motors, inverters, power electronics
  • Experience with validation processes, FMEA, and testing/validation
  • Skills in mechanical and/or electrical design and system integration
  • Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Hypermesh, MotorCAD, CFD)
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python for modeling and analysis
  • Familiarity with CAD/PLM (e.g., Creo, Teamcenter)
  • Knowledge of embedded architectures and communication protocols like CAN and LIN
  • Understanding of high voltage (HV) systems, automotive regulations, and industrialization processes
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English

What you can expect from us

The position offers a permanent contract, and the base gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €35,000, in line with the provisions of the national collective bargaining agreement for Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.

 

TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, at the end of the selection process, after evaluating the experience, skills, and qualifications of the candidate, may propose a final RAL higher than the level indicated above.

In accordance with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a direct participation component in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget for skill development of €4,000 net annually, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process in compliance with the company's current policies.
