We are looking for a Calibration Engineer who will be responsible for calibrating instruments and systems, ensuring reliability and accuracy at every stage.

About this vacancy

  • Calibration and testing on test benches for diesel, gasoline, CNG, hybrid, and electric engines
  • On-vehicle calibration (test drive, road tests)
  • Definition and optimization of the combustion process: performance, consumption, emissions
  • Calibration of safety and drivability strategies
  • Development and fine-tuning of diagnostic strategies (EOBD) and troubleshooting
  • Post-processing and analysis of acquired data
  • Preparation of technical reports and documentation of testing activities
  • Interface with cross-functional teams (software development, validation, systems engineering)
  • Travel to test sites, test benches, and clients in Italy and abroad

What we expect from you

The candidate possesses at least 3 years of experience in the automotive field:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in engine control systems calibration or vehicle/powertrain testing
  • Willingness to travel abroad 50% of the time
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric, or hybrid motors
  • Proficiency in using calibration and ECU analysis tools such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape/CANalyzer/CANoe, Concerto, Puma
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
  • Excellent command of English to work in an international environment
  • Valid driving license; prototype license is a plus

What you can expect from us

 

The position entails a permanent contract, and the offered gross annual salary (RAL) base will not be lower than €34,000.00, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.

 

TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, upon completion of the selection process, after assessing the experiences, skills, and qualifications of the candidate, may propose a final RAL above the level indicated above.

 

In keeping with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a component of direct participation in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget for skill development of €4,000 net annually, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, in compliance with current company policies.
