What exactly does a UVM verification engineer do?
As a UVM verification engineer you are responsible for the functional verification of FPGAs at our high-tech clients and partners. You assess, test and check designs based on requirements and use the UVM methodology to ensure that every system performs exactly as it should.
You build verification environments in SystemVerilog, run simulations and track down errors in both software and hardware. Only when the final issue is resolved and the FPGA meets the full specifications do you give your approval.
For example, you receive a new FPGA design for a communication module. You build a test environment, run scenarios and discover a timing problem in a data path. You discuss this with the designer and see that, after the fix, the module functions perfectly. That is the moment when your expertise delivers visible results.
What we expect from a UVM verification expert
For this role, we look for professionals with a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar field. You have at least three years of hands on experience with UVM verification and possess in depth knowledge of SystemVerilog. You understand verification architectures, can set up test processes and communicate clearly with design teams.
You have strong analytical skills, work precisely and take responsibility for the quality of the FPGAs you verify. Your combination of technical depth and communication skills makes you the link between design and outcomes.
