About this vacancy

As a Vehicle Controls Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize control systems that manage the dynamic behavior of vehicles. You will work on advanced control strategies for systems such as steering, braking, chassis, powertrain integration, and stability management, ensuring vehicles meet performance, safety, and drivability targets. Your work bridges the disciplines of Mechatronics and Control Engineering, applying model-based development tools such as MATLAB and Simulink to implement and validate control algorithms.

Your Challenges

• Develop and implement vehicle-level control strategies for systems like chassis, braking, steering, and integrated powertrain control

• Model, simulate, and analyze dynamic vehicle behavior to optimize performance and stability

• Work with embedded software and ECU platforms to implement and test control algorithms

• Conduct testing and validation on test benches and vehicles

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including software, systems, and hardware engineers

• Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards across vehicle systems

What we expect from you

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with vehicle dynamics and control systems

• Knowledge of model-based development, simulation, and control validation

• Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, CANape, or ETAS is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Based in Europe required; Netherlands-based candidates preferred.
