Test Automation Engineer

About this vacancy
The role will play a key part in ensuring quality, reliability, and robustness of embedded software, working closely with development teams, systems engineering, and flight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of new libraries for modular Test Automation
- Evaluation and integration of new automation tools and technologies
- Collaboration with Embedded Software Engineers for an integrated development and testing process
- Definition and validation of high-level requirements for onboard avionics systems
- Definition and execution of manual and automated tests based on requirements
- Documentation of test procedures, results, anomalies, and technical issues
- Design and development of tools and equipment interfaced with avionics systems
- Development of simulators and digital twin
- Support for software integration with onboard avionics and complete satellites
What we expect from you
General Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related disciplines (equivalent experience considered)
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded software testing
- Practical, proactive, and quality-oriented approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning
- Native Italian speaker, fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent knowledge of Python
- Experience with communication protocols and interfaces (UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet)
- Experience with test automation solutions or frameworks
- Understanding of HW/SW development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
- Familiarity with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.)
What you can expect from us
The position includes a permanent contract, and the gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €34,000, in accordance with the provisions of the National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.
TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package, and after evaluating the experiences, skills, and qualifications of the candidate at the conclusion of the selection process, it may propose a final RAL exceeding the amount mentioned above.
In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a component of direct participation in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget of €4,000 net per year for skills development, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, adhering to the current company policies.
