About this vacancy

As a Telecom Engineer within TMC, you play a crucial role in the engineering and realization of telecom infrastructure for high-voltage and energy networks. You mainly work in a hybrid setting (office + home), with occasional visits to project locations or suppliers. At the same time, you have the opportunity to develop into a specialist in telecom networks.

In this position, you are technically responsible for the telecom aspect within (high-voltage) infrastructure projects. You translate needs and requirements into concrete designs and implementation plans, contribute ideas regarding safety, feasibility, and efficiency, and ensure the quality of all telecom assets.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

Conducting studies for newbuild and expansion projects;
Creating basic and detailed designs for telecom connectivity;
Evaluating and validating delivery data;
Delivering complete project documentation;
Maintaining and improving your own technical knowledge;
Actively contributing and collaborating with project teams to ensure the telecom aspect is technically sound and future-proof.

You are the “spider in the web” in the field of telecom, ensuring the telecom infrastructure seamlessly integrates with the rest of the network.

What we expect from you

You are technical, analytical, and have an affinity for telecom and energy infrastructure. Additionally, you are customer-oriented and understand that your work impacts reliability and continuity.

Furthermore, you bring:

A vocational or higher professional education (or work experience) in electrical engineering, energy technology, telecom, or similar;
At least 5 years of experience in design and preparation within (telecom) projects;
Knowledge of data communication within telecom networks;
Extensive experience with AutoCAD (required);
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
Experience with Elcad or a willingness to learn it;
A proactive and customer-oriented mindset that prioritizes quality and reliability.
