About this vacancy
As Team Lead Mechanical Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 6 engineers. Together, you will work on the development, improvement, and industrialization of complex products and projects. You combine technical expertise with a coaching leadership style and ensure your team performs at its best.
You act as a key interface between engineering, project management, and other disciplines such as software, electronics, and manufacturing.
What will you do?
- lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers;
- take responsibility for the technical quality and progress of various products and projects, mainly in the high tech industry;
- manage planning, budget, and resources within your team;
- contribute hands-on to the development of innovative, robust, and manufacturable mechanical solutions;
- collaborate closely with other disciplines within multidisciplinary project teams;
- drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and ways of working within mechanical engineering;
- manage stakeholders, both internally and externally.
What we expect from you
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- at least 7 years of experience in a technical development environment;
- experience leading or coaching multidisciplinary teams of engineers;
- strong communication skills and a proactive mindset;
- experience in product development within a high-tech environment;
- knowledge of CAD systems and relevant engineering methodologies;
- fluent in English, Dutch is a big plus;
- currently living in The Netherlands.
