About this vacancy
Main responsibilities:
System Engineering
- Definition and management of system requirements for autonomous vehicles or platforms, from functional specification to verification and validation
- Design of system architecture, with allocation of functions across HW, SW, sensors, and actuators subsystems
- Management of interfaces between the different subsystems and ensuring end-to-end technical consistency
- Application of structured development methodologies: V-model, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), configuration management
Perception, Localization, and Sensor Fusion
- Definition of requirements and supervision of the integration of perception systems: LiDAR, radar, cameras, ultrasound, IMU, and GNSS Support for the development and validation of sensor fusion, localization algorithms (SLAM, HD map-based), and object detection
- Performance analysis of perception systems in real operational scenarios and under adverse conditions
Planning, Control, and Decision Making
- Contribution to the definition of software architecture for path planning, motion control, and decision-making modules
- Verification of consistency between system requirements and implementations of autonomous driving modules
Safety and Standards
- Application of functional safety analysis methodologies: HARA, FTA, FMEA/FMEDA in accordance with ISO 26262 and ISO/PAS 21448 (SOTIF)
- Definition of Safety Goals and system ASIL levels, with allocation to subsystems
What we expect from you
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related fields).
- Experience in Systems Engineering applied to complex systems, preferably automotive, autonomous mobility, robotics, or aerospace. Knowledge of the System Engineering Lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience with V-Model methodologies, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
- Knowledge of HW/SW system architecture and interface management.
What you can expect from us
The position entails a permanent employment contract, and the base gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €32,000, in accordance with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.
TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. At the end of the selection process, and based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, a final RAL above the indicated level may be proposed.
As part of our business model, the final compensation package also includes a direct participation component in project profits (profit sharing), an individual annual skills development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, in compliance with current company policies.
