Are you passionate about quality, precision, and continuous improvement? Would you like to work on cutting-edge products for the space industry, where every component and process must meet the highest standards?
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen a dedicated Quality team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and compliance of mission-critical space hardware. In this position, you will be closely involved in both product development and production, acting as the link between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
What will you do:
- Act as the quality focal point during production, assembly, integration, and testing activities;
- perform incoming, in-process, key-point, and acceptance inspections;
- release materials, components, and finished products for further processing or customer delivery;
- manage non-conformities (NCRs), deviations, and quality-related issues;
- lead and support root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D;
- drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure sustainable improvements;
- review and support engineering changes and change implementation processes;
- contribute to the creation and maintenance of project quality plans;
- participate in internal and external audits and ensure effective follow-up of actions;
- support reliability, RAMS, and FMECA activities throughout the product lifecycle;
- monitor and track quality actions, ensuring timely closure and continuous improvement;
- contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance operational excellence;
- support calibration activities and ensure proper control of measurement and test equipment.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
- proven experience in Quality Assurance within a controlled manufacturing environment environments (like aerospace or other high-tech engineering environment);
- hands-on professional who enjoys being close to operations and actively engaging on the production floor;
- solid understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and EN 9100; experience with ECSS standards is highly desirable;
- demonstrated experience in inspections, product release processes, and non-conformance management (NCR handling);
- familiarity with reliability engineering, FMECA, RAMS, or other risk and quality assessment methodologies is considered an advantage;
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams;
- fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Dutch is considered a plus;
- currently living in The Netherlands.
