Do you want to contribute to safe and well-organized projects? As a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Supporter, you work closely with our project managers and help further improve safety within the projects. You combine administrative skills with a practical approach and are regularly present on-site. We are looking for a communicative self-starter who can easily switch between office work and field operations.
As a SHEQ Supporter, you are an essential link between the people working on projects and the office-based organization. You support colleagues, project managers, and management with issues related to quality, safety, working conditions, and the environment. In doing so, you focus not only on what is documented but especially on what happens in practice.
Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Conducting workplace inspections and internal audits;
- Processing and evaluating SHEQ reports and notifications, identifying recurring trends;
- Organizing monthly, interactive toolbox meetings for colleagues both inside and outside;
- Contributing to the management and improvement of the corporate process system;
- Being regularly present on projects, gathering information, and ensuring effective feedback between the field and the office;
- Supporting certifications and audits, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA, CKB, CO₂ Performance Ladder, SCL, and various BRLs;
- Recording, investigating, and reporting incidents and accidents.
You are visible and approachable within the organization and know how to engage colleagues in safe and responsible working practices in a practical manner. When necessary, you are confident enough to address individuals or intervene. In this way, you make a tangible daily contribution to a safe, sustainable, and professionally organized working environment.
What we expect from you
- MBO/HBO working and thinking level with an interest in QHSE/safety
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience or a completed civil engineering education
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in Dutch and English
- In possession of a basic VCA certificate or willingness to obtain it
- Driver's license B
