About this vacancy
As a Project Engineer NPI at TMC, you will be part of our NPI (New Product Introduction) team and work for innovative clients in sectors such as semiconductors, aerospace, and high-tech machinery. You are the vital link between development and production, ensuring that new products are successfully introduced into series production. In this role, you combine technical expertise with project-based work and stakeholder management: • You translate customer designs into manufacturable and scalable production processes (DFM/DFA). • You define and implement manufacturing strategies for high-precision components and modules. • You set up production flows and secure processes using tools like PFMEA, control plans, and SPC. • You collaborate closely with R&D, supply chain, and production to successfully achieve industrialization. • You serve as (co-)point of contact for customers throughout the entire NPI trajectory. • You organize and lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders. • You support prototype and pilot builds, ensuring a smooth transition to series production. • You initiate improvement projects focused on quality, cost, delivery performance, and manufacturability.
What we expect from you
A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics) Experience as a Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or NPI Engineer in a high-tech environment Knowledge of machining and/or non-machining production techniques Experience with industrialization processes and production development Familiarity with quality methodologies such as PFMEA, SPC, and Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt is a plus) Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders Proficiency in Dutch and English
