About this vacancy
As a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer, you will be working on the development of high-tech systems where precision is critical. You are responsible for designing and optimizing opto-mechanical modules within advanced laser and lithography systems. Operating at the intersection of optics, mechanics, and high-end engineering, you play a key role in development of our clients new, high-precision optical systems. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including optics, software, and electronics engineers. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, combines deep technical expertise with system-level thinking, and thrives in a cutting-edge technological environment.
What we expect from you
- Design and develop opto-mechanical subsystems and modules
- Translate optical and system requirements into robust mechanical designs
- Analyze and optimize tolerances, thermal stability, and dynamic behavior
- Collaborate with optics engineers to enhance system performance
- Support prototyping, validation, and testing activities
- Identify and solve complex technical challenges
- Act as a technical lead and mentor for junior engineers
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team
What you bring
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Opto-mechanical Engineering or similar
- 7–10+ years of experience in high-tech product development
- Proven experience with opto-mechanical systems and precision engineering
- Strong knowledge of tolerancing, thermal behavior, and vibration analysis
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and simulations (e.g., FEM)
- Experience with ZEMAX is a big plus
- Strong analytical mindset and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Experience in an international high-tech environment is a plus
