NPI Quality Engineer

About this vacancy

As a Quality Engineer within TMC NPI, you play a key role in elevating quality levels at our clients in the high-tech industry. You focus on improving and securing processes during the introduction of new products. Through your contributions, quality issues are identified early and resolved structurally, ensuring smooth production processes and optimal delivery to end customers.

You work closely with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a vital link between engineering, production, and supply chain. You possess a strong improvement-focused mindset and use structured methodologies such as 8D to solve problems sustainably. Moreover, you not only connect technical content but also bring people together to achieve the best results.

• You analyze quality deviations and translate them into clear dashboards and insights for stakeholders
• You facilitate and lead improvement initiatives and ensure teams collaborate effectively
• You perform thorough root cause analyses and implement structural solutions
• You safeguard and optimize processes within the NPI phase and contribute to continuous improvement
• You are regularly present on the shop floor at clients to monitor quality and realize improvements
• You manage and oversee the 8D process and ensure correct follow-up of actions
• You conduct audits and evaluate KPIs and the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures

What we expect from you

Bachelor's level thinking and working proficiency, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field

Experience in a quality role within a high-tech or production environment (experience with NPI is a strong advantage)

Excellent command of the Dutch language (C2 level)

Strong analytical skills, combined with good communication and connecting abilities

You know how to persuade people and are willing to take ownership in complex situations

You have experience with process optimization, both technically and organizationally

You are proactive, energetic, and strong in stakeholder management

You effectively use modern tools and data analysis to improve quality
