About this vacancy

At TMC, you work as an entrepreneurial professional within the high-tech and manufacturing industries. You combine the security of permanent employment with the variety and challenges of consultancy. Through our Employeneurship model, you are given the space to develop yourself professionally while working on long-term projects at leading companies in areas such as semiconductors, aerospace, medical technology, mechanical engineering, and precision mechanics.

As an NPI Planner, you play a crucial role in the introduction of new products. You are the one who creates oversight, aligns processes, and ensures that a new product— from the first component to the fully integrated end product— is successfully transitioned to production and delivered to the customer. You liaise daily with project teams, engineers, procurement, production, and customers to ensure planning, logistics, and capacity align seamlessly.

Your tasks:

  • Creating NPI plans: You assess material availability, lead times, and required capacity, and work together with the project team to set up a realistic plan for the introduction and ramp-up of a new product.
  • Organizing logistical processes: You manage logistics parameters in the ERP system and ensure optimal material flows to prototype and serial production.
  • Assessing technical changes: You analyze (design) changes and plan the necessary actions to minimize the impact on planning, logistics, and production.
  • Reviewing customer orders: You evaluate lead times, quantities, and prices, ensuring all information is correctly and accurately processed in the ERP system.
  • Conducting inventory analyses: For example, in preparation for customer quotes or for drafting phase-in/phase-out scenarios.
  • Overseeing logistical releases: You ensure deadlines are met, and the product is delivered to the customer on time.
  • Advising project teams: You proactively inform project leaders about risks, bottlenecks, feasibility, and planning progress.
  • Internal communication and coordination: You liaise with project leaders, supervisors, procurement, production, and shipping on performance, feasibility, and optimization of the planning.
  • External communication with customers: You act as the first point of contact for planning updates, logistics questions, changes, and escalations.
  • Continuous improvement: You initiate improvement proposals to optimize logistics performance, lead times, and NPI processes.

As an NPI Planner, you are the key link between engineering, supply chain, and production. You operate on an operational, tactical, and strategic level and work together with the project team to achieve successful product introductions for leading high-tech clients.

What we expect from you

  • A higher professional (hbo) or academic (wo) background in Supply Chain Management, (Technical) Business Administration, Logistics Management, or a similar field
  • Several years of experience as a planner, preferably within a high-tech or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems is a significant plus
  • You possess strong analytical skills, are precise, and have a natural sense for structure and process design
  • You easily coordinate with various stakeholders and communicate clearly, both internally and externally
  • You enjoy working in multidisciplinary project teams and take initiative to implement improvements
  • You have a good command of Dutch (minimum B2 level) and English in both written and spoken communication
