About this vacancy
Civil, mechanical, electrical, and concrete: all of these come together in our client's projects. This requires someone who can oversee the big picture on the construction site. As a foreman, you ensure that all these disciplines work as one team: the right sequence, clear agreements, and a safe and well-organized workplace. You work on medium to large-scale projects that span several months to over a year. Most of your time is spent on-site, among skilled professionals from various backgrounds. Since everyone works from their own specialization, your coordination is essential to seamlessly align everything. You are responsible for the daily execution of technical infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on water-related installations. You are the primary point of contact on-site for the team, project management, and the client.
Specifically, this means that you:
- lead the execution team and connect the disciplines;
- monitor progress, planning, safety, and quality;
- coordinate personnel and equipment schedules in consultation with the project manager;
- contribute during the work preparation phase;
- work with the project manager to oversee the financial status of the project;
- anticipate and resolve issues early;
- bring ideas to make the execution smarter and better;
- are a recognizable presence on the construction site.
What we expect from you
A dynamic work environment where a lot happens at once energizes you. You stay calm when plans change, think several steps ahead, and are eager to take responsibility.
Additionally:
- you have a technical education at MBO level 4 or HBO level, preferably in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or construction;
- you have experience as a supervisor or in a similar role;
- you approach things practically and solution-oriented;
- you maintain an overview when multiple tasks are ongoing;
- you effortlessly switch between colleagues, specialists, and clients;
- you have excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
- you prefer being on the construction site rather than behind a desk.
