About this vacancy
As a Laboratory Technician Microbiology, you will be responsible for performing microbiological analyses and supporting laboratory activities related to the development, quality control, and optimization of biological products. You enjoy being actively involved in the lab, troubleshooting challenges, and adapting to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing microbiological testing and analysis according to established protocols;
- preparing samples, media, reagents, and laboratory equipment;
- supporting investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- accurately documenting results and maintaining laboratory records;
- assisting with method development, validation, and optimization activities;
- monitoring laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with quality standards;
- collaborating closely with colleagues from Quality, Production, and R&D;
- contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
What we expect from you
- A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Life Sciences or Biotechnology or in a related field;
- practical and hands-on laboratory experience within the field of microbiology;
- flexible and adaptable, with the ability to switch between priorities when needed;
- strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- a proactive team player who enjoys collaborating with others;
- strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
- currently living in The Netherlands.
