About this vacancy
Actively contribute to the project team by providing support in problem analysis and solution discovery, specifically through proposals for the design and development of mechanical components. Evaluate technical constraints as well as the timelines necessary to fulfill requests introduced by internal and external clients. Participate in drawing reviews organized by R&D project managers within the framework of mechanical component industrialization. Define budgets related to control tooling and inspection costs for parts. Ensure, in collaboration with project managers and the head of the office, the technical coordination of industrialization files, which notably involves: - Acting as the interface between projects and products originating from R&D and the technologies and workflows necessary for the manufacturing of components and assemblies. - Ensuring the consistency of component definition files in alignment with the technologies implemented for industrialization. - Managing industrialization files, pilot batches, and LCPOs in accordance with the rules for technological evolutions. Draft technical specifications for tooling, gauges, and processes intended for internal and external suppliers. Ensure technological monitoring in metrology applied to the measurement processes of mechanical parts, subassemblies, kits, and accessories. Guarantee smooth and coherent communication with the documentation cell (LCPO), in connection with the Industrialization Team Leader. Supervise, guide, and oversee draftsmen in the completion of their work. Provide support based on your level of expertise to P&T and R&D teams and participate in working groups aiming to sustain and develop domain expertise, particularly on: - The design of control gauges. - The development of components. - Sizing. - Tolerancing according to the capabilities of processes and measurement methods. Act as a technical reference for metrology within the scope defined by your expertise, requiring an in-depth knowledge of products, their technical specificities, functional requirements, tolerance analysis, design-to-manufacturing, and the alignment of plans with parts. Share domain and product knowledge with draftsmen in your environment. Take charge of significant elements in the design and development of complex components (DVI A level).
What we expect from you
Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Mastery of techniques related to metrological control Good knowledge of products, their functionality, usage conditions, and the competitive environment Proficiency in standard control tools (SMTE) Knowledge of materials and treatments (surface treatments and heat treatments) Strong command of manufacturing and assembly processes for mechanical products Familiarity with industrial organization and data management methods Creativity and ability to transform ideas into realistic and industrial solutions Ability to understand and integrate various aspects of metrological control, including functional constraints, measurement uncertainties, manufacturing technologies, materials, while maintaining a high level of dimensional quality Good knowledge of current and emerging metrology technologies (3D machine, GOM, microscope, etc.) Ability to conceptualize in three dimensions and integrate various dimensional constraints when creating measurement programs or plans Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Operational knowledge of software such as PDM Link, Quartis, PCDMIS, or GOM Excellent analytical and synthesis skills Organizational, structuring, and planning abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Proactive mindset and initiative-driven approach Sense of responsibility and professional commitment
