About this vacancy
Actively participate in the project team by providing support for problem analysis and solution development, particularly through proposals for the design and development of mechanical components.
Assess technical constraints as well as the time required to fulfill requests submitted by internal and external clients.
Participate in bundle reviews organized by R&D project managers as part of the industrialization of mechanical components.
Define budgets related to control tools as well as control costs for parts.
Ensure, in collaboration with project managers and the head of the office, the technical coordination of industrialization files, which specifically involves:
- Acting as the interface between projects and products originating from R&D and the technologies and workflows necessary for the manufacturing of components and assemblies.
- Ensuring the consistency of component definition files in alignment with the technologies implemented for industrialization.
- Managing industrialization files, pilot batches, and LCPO in accordance with the rules on technology evolution.
Draft specifications for tools, gauges, and processes intended for internal and external suppliers.
Conduct technological monitoring in metrology applied to the measurement processes of mechanical parts, subassemblies, kits, and accessories.
Ensure smooth and coherent communication with the documentation cell (LCPO), in connection with the Industrialization Team Leader.
Supervise, guide, and oversee draftsmen in the execution of their tasks.
Provide support to the P&T and R&D teams according to your level of expertise, and participate in working groups aimed at maintaining and developing professional expertise, particularly regarding:
- The design of control gauges.
- The development of components.
- Sizing.
- Tolerancing based on the capability of the processes and measurement tools.
Act as a technical reference in metrology within the scope defined by your expertise, involving an in-depth knowledge of products, their technical specificities, functional requirements, tolerance analysis, design-to-manufacturing, and plan–part alignment.
Share professional and product knowledge with draftsmen in your environment.
Take charge of significant elements in the design and development of complex components (DVI A level).
What we expect from you
- Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Mastery of techniques related to metrological control
- Good knowledge of products, their functionality, usage conditions, and the competitive environment
- Proficiency in common control tools (SMTE)
- Knowledge of materials and treatments (surface treatments and heat treatments)
- Strong mastery of manufacturing and mechanical assembly processes
- Understanding of industrial organization and data management methods
- Creativity and ability to transform ideas into realistic and industrial solutions
- Capacity to comprehend and integrate various aspects of metrological control: functional constraints, measurement uncertainties, manufacturing technologies, materials, while maintaining high dimensional quality standards
- Good knowledge of common and emerging metrology technologies (3D machines, GOM, microscope, etc.)
- Ability to conceptualize in three dimensions and integrate varied dimensional constraints when creating measurement programs or plans
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Operational knowledge of software like PDM Link, Quartis, PCDMIS, or GOM
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills Organizational, structuring, and planning abilities
- Aptitude to work autonomously while effectively collaborating in a team
