About this vacancy
For a leading international player in the high-tech industry, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen a growing multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and redesign of highly advanced precision systems used in next-generation manufacturing environments. You will be part of a project team of approximately 35 engineers and work closely with specialists in mechatronics, electronics, optics, software, and manufacturing. Besides contributing technically, you will play an important role in guiding and coaching fellow engineers by sharing your expertise and helping drive engineering excellence across projects. This position offers a unique combination of technical depth, innovation, and long-term project ownership.
What we expect from you
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop high-precision mechanical modules and systems.
- Translate system requirements into robust concepts, detailed designs, and validated solutions.
- Optimize designs with respect to accuracy, manufacturability, thermal stability, dynamics, mass, and cost.
- Perform and assess engineering analyses such as FEM, thermal, vibration, and dynamic simulations.
- Convert analytical insights into concrete design improvements and technical decisions.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development cycle.
- Support continuous improvements in product performance, engineering processes, and design quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturability requirements.
- Act as a technical sparring partner for other engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Occasionally travel internationally to support development and manufacturing activities.
You have:
- MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within high-tech equipment, semiconductor, precision engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
- Strong experience with 3D CAD systems such as Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
- Experience with simulation and engineering analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of precision mechanics, structural behavior, thermal effects, and system dynamics.
- Ability to interpret FEM results and translate findings into practical engineering solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, quality-driven mindset and a passion for technical innovation. Experience coaching, mentoring, or technically guiding colleagues is considered an advantage.
