Mechanical Engineer

About this vacancy

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for developing complex high-tech systems and machines, from the concept phase to industrialization. You translate customer and system requirements into innovative technical concepts, make well-founded design choices, and work on challenging development projects where technology, innovation, and quality come together. Additionally, you are involved in technical coordination with customers and other stakeholders to arrive at the best-fitting solution.

Together with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, mechatronic, and software engineers, you work on the development of high-quality systems and products.

You also oversee the construction and validation of prototypes, analyze test results, and ensure that improvements are effectively implemented. You remain involved throughout the entire development process and ensure a smooth transition to production, with reliability, manufacturability, and quality being central. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to the development of innovative technical solutions for a wide range of high-tech applications.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, High-Tech Engineering, Precision Mechanics, or a similar technical field;
• at least 3 years of relevant work experience in precisely moving mechanical systems; experience in precision mechanics is a strong plus;
• solid knowledge of construction principles and machine building;
• proficient in 3D/2D CAD software, such as SolidWorks and/or Creo;
• experience with FEM analyses is a plus;
• creative and innovative mindset, combined with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach;
• strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders;
• good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
