As a Mechanical Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting development projects at some of Örebro's leading industrial companies.
In this role, you may work on everything from product development and design of mechanical systems to further development of existing products and production equipment. Our clients in Västerås operate in areas such as energy, electrification, automation, defense, process industry, and advanced manufacturing.
Projects may involve design in CAD environments, development of mechanical components and systems, prototype creation, verification and testing, as well as technical collaboration with cross-functional teams in areas such as electronics, software, production, and procurement. For example, you might contribute to the development of future electrification solutions, high-tech automation systems, sustainable energy solutions, or advanced industrial equipment. Regardless of your assignment, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise, develop professionally, and create long-term value for our clients.
What we expect from you
As a person, you are meticulous, and you need to be able to translate ideas and concepts into practical and functional solutions through design, technical analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders. We place great emphasis on your personal commitment and your desire to drive your development forward. Since continuous improvement is an integral part of the work, this is something you are passionate about and find interesting. We value experience in working with multiple materials, CAD programs, and PLM/PDM systems.
The requirements for the role are:
- An academic engineering degree in mechanical engineering, product development, industrial design, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in product and/or design development
- Experience working with conceptual development of 2D and 3D drawings in CAD programs
- Proficiency in performing structural calculations
- Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
