About this vacancy
As a Maintenance Engineer – Execution, you are responsible for delivering effective corrective maintenance solutions that ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient plant operations. You act as the first point of contact for maintenance-related troubleshooting and play a key role in minimizing downtime through high-quality technical specifications and maintenance planning support. In this role, you will work closely with technicians, planners, operations, and engineering teams to optimize maintenance performance and continuously improve asset reliability. Key responsibilities include: • Perform first-line troubleshooting for maintenance-related and multidisciplinary technical issues • Define and deliver high-quality technical specifications for corrective maintenance work, enabling efficient preparation and first-time-right execution • Act as a member of the notification gatekeeping team, determining the appropriate routing of maintenance notifications and work orders • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and hygiene procedures • Support maintenance execution by coordinating technical solutions that balance plant availability, maintenance quality, and cost efficiency • Lead evaluations of completed maintenance activities to improve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Planners, Technicians, Operators, and Process Engineers to optimize preventive maintenance plans • Serve as project responsible for in-kind replacements within the Management of Change (MoC) process • Participate in risk assessments, hazard reviews (SA, PHR, JSA, TRA), and root cause analyses • Execute pre-start-up safety and operational checklists to ensure plant readiness
What we expect from you
• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or Master's degree in (Chemical) Engineering, Process Control, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline • Strong technical knowledge of industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability • Experience in maintenance execution, manufacturing, chemical, or process industry environments • Ability to make sound technical decisions under time pressure while maintaining quality standards • Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements • Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to build positive working relationships across multiple disciplines and functions • Proactive, quality-focused, and solution-oriented mindset • High level of stress tolerance and commitment to operational excellence *Success in this role* You will contribute to: • Timely delivery of corrective maintenance work • Compliance with corrective maintenance budgets • Reduced plant downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance specifications • Continuous improvement of maintenance efficiency, reliability, and asset performance
