Linux Embedded Software Engineer

About this vacancy
- Develop and maintain embedded software in C and C++ on Linux-based platforms
- Design, implement and debug features for connected electronic devices
- Develop and test connectivity functionalities based on BLE, LoRa and Zigbee technologies
- Perform software debugging, root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Contribute to software verification, validation and system testing activities
- Support the optimization of software performance, reliability and maintainability
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software development and testing activities
What we expect from you
- M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in embedded software development
- Proven ability to develop software autonomously using C and C++
- Experience working with Embedded Linux environments
- Knowledge of embedded communication protocols, including I2C, UART and SPI
- Familiarity with wireless communication technologies such as BLE, LoRa and Zigbee
- Good command of both Italian and English, written and spoken
- Strong motivation to embrace TMC’s Employeneurship model
What you can expect from us
The position offers a permanent employment contract, and the base gross annual salary (Gross Annual Salary – RAL) will be no less than €32,000, in line with the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution and Services.
TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. At the end of the recruitment process, after assessing the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, the company may offer a final gross annual salary higher than the amount stated above.
In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a project profit-sharing component, an individual annual learning and development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare allowance. Further details will be provided during the recruitment process, in accordance with the company's applicable policies.
