About this vacancy
At TMC, as a Lead Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, you have the opportunity to play a key role in challenging projects involving bridges, locks, and other complex hydraulic engineering structures. You work on both new construction and renovation projects, directly contributing to the reliability, safety, and sustainability of Dutch infrastructure. As an Employeneur, you combine the security of a permanent contract with the opportunity to apply your expertise within leading projects. You collaborate with technical specialists from various disciplines and have ample space to further develop yourself.
Your tasks include:
- Coordinating and supervising mechanical engineering activities within multidisciplinary projects.
- Leading and mentoring engineers and designers within the project team.
- Being responsible for the technical quality of designs, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Monitoring planning, budget, risks, and technical performance within your discipline.
- Contributing to innovative and practical solutions for complex infrastructural challenges.
- Collaborating with project managers, technical managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Providing support during design, procurement, and implementation phases of projects.
- Identifying technical risks and developing appropriate control measures.
- Ensuring designs comply with legislation, standards, guidelines, and contract requirements.
- Regularly visiting project sites to assess progress and technical execution.
What we expect from you
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or a comparable technical leadership role.
- Experience in infrastructural, civil, or hydraulic engineering projects.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering and verification and validation methodologies.
- Experience in managing technical teams and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to combine technical content with project interests such as quality, planning, and budget.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive work attitude.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language is required.
