About this vacancy

As a **Junior Calculator**, you play an essential role in preparing and calculating various civil engineering projects. You work on quotes, assist with tenders, and actively contribute ideas for smart, efficient execution methods. In this role, you work on diverse projects within civil engineering and (site) remediation, ranging from relatively small to complex. You ensure accurate and complete calculations that serve as the foundation for successful execution. Your responsibilities include: - Preparing quotes and calculating materials, quantities, and costs; - Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to identify optimal work methods; - Providing input for tenders and development plans; - Carefully transferring calculations to work preparation or project teams; - Conducting site visits for assessments or coordination; - Organizing and overseeing the entire calculation process. You work closely with colleagues within your discipline. During regular meetings, you discuss projects, divide tasks, and align progress – clear communication is key. Are you a beginner? You will receive the proper guidance to grow into a fully qualified calculator.

What we expect from you

You work accurately, switch quickly, and have a practical mindset. You love structure, think ahead, and take ownership when you see a challenge.

Additionally:

You have an MBO or HBO degree (preferably in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related field);
Experience as a (junior) estimator is a plus but definitely not required;
You have knowledge of contract forms (such as RAW, UAV-GC, or Bouwteam) or are eager to learn about them;
You have excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken;
Knowledge of Metacom or similar software is an advantage;
You possess a category B driver’s license;
