About this vacancy
As a Junior Project Manager in Civil Engineering, you work on various civil engineering projects, ranging from road construction and hydraulic engineering to the development of bridges and tunnels. You support senior project managers and gradually take more responsibility in coordinating project phases. You ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, collaborating with different disciplines such as design, execution, and the client.
In this role, you’ll learn all about managing civil engineering projects and will be guided by experienced colleagues. You’ll develop into a full-fledged project manager who can independently lead projects and efficiently oversee all involved parties.
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting the project manager in planning, coordinating, and executing civil engineering projects;
- Monitoring the progress of projects, including tracking the budget, schedule, and quality of work;
- Preparing and managing project documentation, such as reports, meeting notes, and technical specifications;
- Maintaining communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders;
- Assisting in resolving technical and organizational issues during project execution;
- Contributing to compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within projects;
- Learning and contributing to project management tools and techniques to further develop your skills.
What we expect from you
- A completed bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a comparable technical program);
- Some experience with civil engineering projects, preferably through internships or previous work experience;
- Knowledge of civil engineering and experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programs;
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, both orally and in writing;
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop yourself within the field.
