About this vacancy
As a Hydrologist at TMC, you work on complex hydrological challenges for water boards, municipalities, and consultancy and engineering firms in the southern Netherlands. You analyze water systems, conduct model studies, and provide advice on measures aimed at water safety and climate adaptation. You contribute to projects in both the planning and implementation phases, and you are involved in policy development, design, and monitoring. Within the TMC model, you are given the opportunity to deepen and broaden your specialized expertise. ### Your responsibilities include: - Conducting hydrological analyses and model studies - Analyzing water flows, groundwater, and drainage systems - Advising on water-related issues, such as flooding, drought, and climate adaptation - Preparing reports and recommendations - Supporting policy development - Coordinating with clients and stakeholders - Assessing designs and plans - Contributing to sustainable and future-proof solutions
What we expect from you
- Proficiency in Dutch at C1/C2 level
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or Water Management
- Experience with hydrological analyses and models
- Strong analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Independent and critical work attitude
- Affinity with sustainability and water management
