About this vacancy
- You will manage flight dynamics activities during nominal and emergency operations, ensuring constant control of satellite orbits.
- You will handle orbit determination, maneuver planning, and analysis of critical events such as collision risks.
- You will contribute to designing flight dynamics system processes and procedures, automating them where possible using Python tools.
- You will take part in operations validation campaigns before launch.
- You will support the launch and early operations phases (LEOP and commissioning), both in the control room and on standby.
- You will propose improvements to in-orbit control strategies, collaborating with the ground engineering team on the development of tools for future missions.
What we expect from you
- Degree in Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in flight dynamics operations for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
- Solid knowledge of orbital mechanics and attitude dynamics.
- Experience in Space Situational Awareness and collision avoidance maneuver management.
- Good proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in parallel, and communicate clearly even under pressure.
- Italian C2 and English B2
What you can expect from us
The position includes a permanent contract, and the base gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €33,000, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.
TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package, and at the end of the selection process, evaluating the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, we may propose a final RAL higher than the indicated level.
In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a component of direct participation in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget of €4,000 net per year for skills development, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, in compliance with current company policies.
