About this vacancy
As a Distribution Network Engineer, you work on challenging projects within underground infrastructure, where you are responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing distribution networks. You tackle issues such as reinforcing electricity grids, proactively replacing gas and water pipelines, and future-proofing existing infrastructure. At TMC, you collaborate with various specialists from our Infra-cell — a team rich in knowledge, where colleagues are familiar with each other and teamwork and personal development are central. In this role, you are involved in all phases of the project: from design and preparation to technical alignment with stakeholders and monitoring quality and progress. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing underground infrastructure for electricity, gas, and water projects. - Conducting digital preliminary research (such as route assessments and KLIC analyses). - Inspecting existing situations through aerial photographs, site surveys, and GIS systems. - Managing and guiding (junior) draftsmen who create plan drawings. - Developing technical solutions and optimizations during the design phase. - Coordinating with municipalities, water boards, grid operators, and other stakeholders. - Ensuring quality, progress, and compliance with technical requirements within your projects.
What we expect from you
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) in a technical field.
- Experience with or strong interest in underground infrastructure.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and preferably GIS systems such as ArcGIS.
- Accuracy, a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills.
- The ability to maintain an overview and take responsibility.
- Driver's license B.
