About this vacancy
Within the Base Engine Development team, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of critical engine hardware and mechanical systems. You will coordinate technical development activities, align stakeholders across multiple disciplines, and work closely with suppliers to bring innovative concepts into production. As a Mechanical Expert, you are the driving force behind translating project objectives into successful technical solutions while ensuring the highest standards in reliability, quality, and manufacturability.
What we expect from you
What will you be doing? In this role, you will: - Lead the development of new engine components and improve existing designs. - Coordinate technical projects with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. - Lead Simultaneous Engineering (SE) teams throughout the product development cycle. - Translate project objectives into clear product requirements and technical specifications. - Drive Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) activities and ensure quality throughout development. - Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC to resolve technical challenges. - Define, coordinate, and monitor validation plans aligned with project milestones. - Ensure component performance regarding functionality, reliability, robustness, manufacturability, and quality. - Analyze test and validation results and present technical recommendations to management. - Contribute to the development of future engine platforms for heavy-duty transportation applications. What do we expect from you? - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical or hardware development within a product development environment. - Experience with mechanical systems, component development, and engineering validation. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. - Ability to coordinate multiple technical projects simultaneously. - Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies. - Professional proficiency in English. - Automotive industry experience is considered a strong advantage.
