About this vacancy

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to handle the design of electrical panels (SLD, PCC, MCC, PLC/I-O) using EPLAN P8 and AutoCAD, as well as plant design (cable sizing, cable trays, cable routes). Responsibilities include sizing and selecting drives, inverters, and high-power actuators (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell), along with performing electrical calculations for protections and cables, in compliance with Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, EN 60204-1, and ISO 13849-1 standards. Additionally, the role involves technical procurement, drafting purchase specifications, and comparatively evaluating supplier offers. Finally, the engineer will design electronic boards (PCBs) using electronic CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD), including component sizing, power/DC-DC circuits, and hardware verification (tolerances, reliability, EMC/EMI), with a preferred knowledge of the paper process and PLM Teamcenter.

What we expect from you

  • Knowledge of electrical CAD EPLAN P8 and mechanical CAD AutoCAD
  • Engineering design capabilities for panels:
    • SLD (Single Line Diagram), PCC (distribution boards), MCC (Motor Control Center), PLC/I-O panels.
  • Engineering design capabilities for systems:
    • cable sizing, sizing of trays/channels, planning cable routes in harsh environments.
  • Knowledge of Drives (AC/AC) and Multi-axis Inverters (DC/AC): sizing of electric motors, frequency converters, and high-power drives (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell Automation).
  • Electrical calculation capabilities: sizing of breakers, electrical protections, power cables.
  • Knowledge of reference standards: Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE,
  • Electrical Equipment EN 60204-1, Functional Safety ISO 13849-1, and capabilities in Technical Procurement: drafting detailed technical specifications for the quotation of electrical panels (MCC, Power Center, PLC) and power components (Inverters, Transformers).
  • Technical Alignment capabilities: comparative analysis of supplier offers to ensure full compliance with project requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic design.
  • Preferred knowledge of paper processing.
  • Preferred knowledge of PLM Teamcenter.
  • Design and development of electronic boards (PCB design) using electronic CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD or equivalents)
  • Selection and sizing of analog and digital electronic components based on project requirements
  • Design of power circuits, DC/DC conversion, energy management, and protection
  • Hardware verification and validation: tolerance analysis, reliability testing, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI)

What you can expect from us

The position includes a permanent contract, and the offered base gross annual salary (RAL) will not be less than €32,000.00, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.

 

TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, at the end of the selection process, based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, it may propose a final RAL higher than the level indicated above.

 

In accordance with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a direct participation component in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget of €4,000 net per year for skill development, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection phase, in compliance with the company's policies in force.
