About this vacancy

Are you an Electromechanical Engineer who thrives on designing, developing, and improving complex technical systems? As an Electromechanical Engineer, you work at the intersection of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and system integration. You translate functional requirements into smart technical solutions and are involved in the entire development process: from concept and engineering to validation and implementation. Depending on the project, you work on advanced machinery, electrical drive systems, battery and charging infrastructures, vehicle systems, production machines, or innovative mechatronic solutions. You are part of multidisciplinary teams where you collaborate with specialists from various technical disciplines.

What we expect from you

As an Electromechanical Engineer, you are responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and improving electromechanical systems and modules.
  • Translating customer and system requirements into technical specifications and design concepts.
  • Integrating electrical, mechanical, and control components.
  • Performing technical analyses, calculations, and validations.
  • Identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Optimizing performance, reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborating with software, hardware, mechanical, and systems engineers.
  • Supporting production, suppliers, and other stakeholders during the implementation phase.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative technologies and new product generations.

You have:

  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering environment, for example within machine building, automotive, high-tech systems, or industrial automation.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems, vehicle systems, machines, or mechatronic products.
  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams, system integration, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CAD and/or E-CAD software is a plus.
  • An affinity for innovative technologies such as electrification, battery technology, charging solutions, or smart machines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with HV/LV systems, battery technology, or charging infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of functional safety, EMC, or systems engineering.
  • Experience in the automotive sector or high-tech machine building.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and certification processes.
