About this vacancy
In this role, you are the driving force behind the design process. You ensure the design team chooses the right direction, that the project is well-prepared, and that everything meets quality standards. You collaborate with various teams, from designers to implementation, and work with clients to find the best solutions.
What will you do?- Lead a team of designers and engineers. You ensure the team works well together and delivers high-quality designs.
- Guide civil engineering projects from start to finish. You make sure everything happens in the right order and that we comply with laws and regulations.
- Maintain contact with (potential) clients. You contribute ideas for the best solutions and ensure the project gets off to a good start.
- Participate in discussions with government agencies and suppliers to arrange permits, grants, and approvals.
- Work on construction team projects. Together with the implementation team, you ensure a well-thought-out design that can be easily executed.
What we expect from you
- A completed education in Civil Engineering, Land and Water Management, or something similar.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably at an engineering firm or contractor.
- Knowledge of design principles and standards within the GWW sector.
- Experience with multidisciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of different contract forms such as RAW and UAV-gc.
- An entrepreneurial and results-oriented attitude. You know what it takes to manage a team effectively and collaborate well with other teams.
