About this vacancy

As a Data Environment Engineer, you will play a key role in the reporting process of our partner. You will develop into the knowledge holder when it comes to the creation of environment-related reports and the functional management of the respective calculation models and ICT systems. The functional design and reporting work cover the entire spectrum, from improving the incoming data in the systems using engineering knowledge to enhancing and developing dashboards where the reporting figures of our client are displayed. In this, our partner expects you to familiarize yourself with the history and technical design of the assets and associated policy documents and legislation to which the reports are subjected, enabling you to follow and adapt processes, calculations, and developments.

It is important that you have, or are willing to acquire, knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Sustainability Manager, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI. These programs are essential in the reporting process. In this capacity, you will also bridge the ICT expertise between the IT department and the Engineering department, contributing to maintaining and improving the reporting process in the broadest sense of the word when it comes to the environment.

With this, you will also become a pivotal part of the energy transition by helping better map and analyze emission sources, thereby contributing further to the reduction of emissions, leaks, and losses in the network. This also includes an advisory role to aid in identifying improvement potential in the transport of hydrogen, natural gas, CO2, heat, and N2.

What we expect from you

To be successful in this role, we expect the following from you:

You have completed a higher professional education (Hbo) or university (WO) degree in engineering, computing science, IT, or a similar field;
Complemented by 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably with experience in Microsoft Azure and PowerBI;
Relevant experience with data analysis software (e.g.: Python, Matlab, R);
Knowledge of SAP.
