About this vacancy
As a Civil Engineering Advisor at TMC, you will be deployed to municipalities in the southern Netherlands. You provide advice on civil engineering issues within public spaces, infrastructure, and urban development. You support projects from initiation, design, and preparation to implementation and delivery. You maintain contacts with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders. Thanks to the TMC employeneurship model, you will work with various municipalities, enabling broad development of your expertise. ### Your responsibilities include: - Advising on civil engineering projects within the municipality - Assessing designs, plans, and drawings - Coordination and consultation with internal and external stakeholders - Ensuring plans comply with laws and regulations - Supporting with tenders and contracts - Managing projects from preparation to delivery - Identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement - Contributing to sustainable and future-proof solutions in public spaces
What we expect from you
To be successful as an Advisor Civil Engineering Municipality, you should possess:
- Dutch language proficiency C1/C2
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Relevant experience in municipal civil engineering projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive and independent work ethic
- Administrative sensitivity and an eye for the political-administrative context
