About this vacancy
As a buyer in the Operational Excellence team, you will play an important role in a purchasing team at our clients' sites in and around Gothenburg. The role of the buyer includes, but is not limited to: · Ensuring that purchasing activities are conducted according to plan and in compliance with company policies · Aligning purchasing activities with laws and regulations · Ensuring the right total cost, quality, and lead time · Strengthening relationships with existing suppliers to secure favorable purchasing terms and long-term partnerships · Identifying efficiencies needed to reduce bottlenecks · Preparing materials for negotiations and/or procurement It is advantageous if, in addition to these responsibilities, you also have experience in sourcing new suppliers and drafting contracts.
What we expect from you
We are curious about you if you are a graduate engineer or a civil engineer—preferably within industrial economics or Supply Chain—and have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You are a driven and natural communicator with experience in successful negotiation, as well as cost analysis and follow-up. Creating meaningful and professional relationships is essential to you; you enjoy working in a team while being independent and taking initiatives on your own. We expect that you speak both English and Swedish fluently at a professional level.
