About this vacancy
The role will be responsible for the **definition of platform avionics architecture**, **requirement management**, and supporting activities related to **integration, testing, and AIV/AIT** across multiple satellite programs. The position requires a systemic vision of HW/SW/FW, with a strong focus on **scalability, platform reuse, and reliability** in safety-critical contexts. **•** Gathering stakeholder needs and translating them into system/subsystem requirements with acceptance criteria **•** Defining and maintaining the avionics architecture (functional, logical, and physical) and resource budgets **•** Defining the onboard logical architecture (functions, data flows, interfaces, operational modes) **•** Managing the allocation and end-to-end traceability of requirements up to verification **•** Defining and managing platform interfaces and satellite subsystem interactions; preparing ICDs **•** Supporting HW/SW/FPGA integration and test activity planning **•** Supporting system robustness activities (FMEA/FMECA, fault analysis, FDIR) **•** Contributing to test plans, procedures, and reports; supporting laboratory and AIV/AIT activities **•** Continuous improvement of platform development processes, methods, and approaches
What we expect from you
- Master's degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines - 3–5 years of experience in **systems engineering** for avionics or complex safety-critical electronic systems - Knowledge of avionics interfaces (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet; SpaceWire/MIL-STD-1553 as a plus) - Familiarity with structured standards and processes (preferably ECSS; DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A or equivalents) - Native Italian, fluent English - Requirements management and traceability (DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar tools) - MBSE and modeling (SysML/UML, Cameo, Capella, MATLAB/Simulink) - Configuration and collaboration (Git, Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint) - Support for testing and integration (Python, laboratory instrumentation)
What you can expect from us
The position entails a permanent contract, and the offered gross annual salary (RAL) will not be less than €34,000, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.
TMC is committed to proposing a competitive compensation package, and at the end of the selection process, based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, may offer a final RAL higher than the aforementioned level.
In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a profit-sharing component (direct participation in project profits), an individual budget of €4,000 net annually for skills development, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, in accordance with the company policies in effect.
