Are you an engineer with a passion for automotive systems and verification? Do you want to work on the development and validation of the latest vehicle technologies? As an Automotive Verification Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of embedded systems within the automotive sector. You collaborate closely with software, system, control, and test engineers to verify and validate innovative solutions according to the highest quality standards.
What we expect from you
Your challenge
- Developing, executing, and maintaining verification and validation activities for automotive embedded systems.
- Setting up, configuring, and performing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) tests.
- Developing automated test scenarios and test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Verifying software functionality based on system and software requirements.
- Analyzing test results, identifying deviations, and supporting root cause analyses.
- Collaborating with software, system, control, and hardware engineers to continuously improve product quality.
- Contributing to model-based development and validation using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Ensuring compliance with automotive standards, including ISO 26262, ASPICE, and relevant OEM guidelines.
- Supporting integration, system, and acceptance testing at component, subsystem, and vehicle levels.
Your profile
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a similar technical field.
- Experience in verification and validation of embedded automotive systems. Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and/or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test environments. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, model-based development, and test automation.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and/or Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with test tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, ETAS, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of requirements management tools (such as DOORS) and defect tracking tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and the automotive V-cycle. Strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and good communication skills.
- Mandatory: You currently reside in the Netherlands.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at a minimum C1 level is a plus.
