The resource will be responsible for:

• Development, programming, and modification of automation systems PLC/DCS
• Programming Siemens PLC, using TIA Portal and/or STEP 7
• Programming using key languages of IEC 61131-3, particularly Ladder Logic (LAD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text (ST/SCL)
• Configuration and diagnostics of industrial control and automation systems
• Development and integration of HMI/SCADA interfaces
• Configuration and management of primary industrial communication networks and protocols
• Reading and interpreting electrical and automation schematics
• Support in activities related to electrical panels and automation panels
• Functional testing, debugging, and hardware/software troubleshooting
• Performing FAT and SAT activities
• Commissioning, startup, and testing of machines, production lines, and systems at the client's site
• Analyzing and resolving issues during installation and start-up phases
• Optimization of control logics and system performance
• Interfacing with electrical, mechanical, software teams, and the final client

What we expect from you

The requirements:

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical-scientific disciplines
• The candidate must ensure availability to travel intermittently within Italy and abroad (at least 50% of working time)
• Experience in programming and configuring PLC and/or DCS systems
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC, preferably S7-1200 / S7-1500
• Good knowledge of TIA Portal
• Familiarity with Ladder (LAD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text / SCL programming languages
• Knowledge of DCS architectures and distributed control systems
• Experience in commissioning and start-up of machinery or industrial plants
• Good ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Knowledge of electrical panels and automation panels, their main components, and their architecture
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools for consulting and making simple modifications to technical documentation
• Familiarity with key industrial communication protocols and networks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Operational autonomy and a readiness for direct customer interaction
• Willingness to undertake national and international travel for at least 50% of the year, including extended periods

What you can expect from us

The position entails a permanent contract and the base gross annual salary (RAL) offered will not be less than €32,000, in line with the provisions of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.

TMC is committed to offering a competitive remuneration package and, at the conclusion of the selection process while evaluating the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, may propose a final RAL above the level indicated above.

In accordance with our business model, the final remuneration package also includes a component of direct participation in project profits (profit sharing), an individual growth budget of €4,000 net per year, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection stage, in compliance with current company policies.
