Asset Manager jobs (in civil engineering)
Do you like to take responsibility for civil assets? Would you like to gain control over certain physical infrastructure and objects in public spaces for leading clients? Join us and work from TMC in an asset management role for governments or other infrastructure managers. Combine the freedom of high-level technical entrepreneurship with the security of being an employee. When you choose employeneurship, you also choose complex projects and innovation. And you take the lead!

What is asset management according to TMC?
What constitutes civil assets and what's involved in managing them? Think of bridges, roads, sewers, quay walls, but also locks, cables, pipelines, squares, or pavements.
In a typical TMC job for asset managers, your main tasks are to manage and monitor the above elements for quality, sustainability, and safety. From a technical perspective, you continuously map the status of these (generally) public works. In addition, you inventory the risks and costs of these objects. You ensure thorough analyses and you inspect data about the assets.
What else does an asset manager in civil engineering do?
In addition to inspections and risk analyses, you also contribute to the improvement and maintenance of public assets. For example, you draw up multi-year maintenance plans, advise a municipality or Rijkswaterstaat on the measures to be taken, and provide consultancy on replacement costs and necessary investments.
Another important aspect of strategic asset management is that you act as the central point of communication between various important stakeholders in the public domain. From contact with managers and inspectors to brainstorming with engineers and policy officers. Every asset manager job opening at TMC is aimed at responsibility, sharp technical insight, and collaboration.

Someone operating in strategic asset management will logically receive a different salary than a manager who focuses specifically on road assets, for example. Salaries are often between 3000 and 6000 euros gross per month. Also in this role, as in every expertise within TMC, you can count on a training budget of 2200 euros per year.
