The Project Engineer is responsible for a subsystem from design to installation and delivery. The PE is proficient in creating systems engineering design documentation, owns the functional design, and monitors all interfaces with other disciplines and systems. The PE supervises suppliers who deliver the detailed and execution designs; the PE directs, checks, and integrates their work into the automation project. A Sr. Project Engineer is capable of assisting other project engineers with challenges they encounter in their own projects. The Sr. PE secures knowledge and quality of Audio and Video technologies within the company and holds a certain level of authority in their field. Key Responsibilities: • Demonstrates proven technical knowledge and experience with audio and video technologies used in the automation of infrastructural structures (minimum 5 years). • Possesses strong system oversight and is able to maintain a broad overview. • Design & Engineering: Drafting functional designs (SSDD, HRS/SRS) and later HDD, SDD, and IDD for their own subsystem. Securing and promoting design guidelines within the company. • Supplier Management: Technical responsibility for procurement, drafting technical procurement documentation (RFQ), evaluating offers, and monitoring progress (expediting). • Coordination & Integration: Aligning with internal teams (installation, IBS, project management) and external suppliers; ensuring system integration. • Testing & Delivery: Drafting test plans (STP), organizing and executing FAT/SAT, and ensuring correct delivery and documentation. • Project Control: Managing the subsystem as a mini-project regarding scope, budget, planning, quality, risks, and stakeholders. Profile of an Ideal Candidate: • Communicates effectively with suppliers, internal engineers, and project management. • Works systematically, adheres to deadlines, and can oversee multidisciplinary interfaces. • Takes ownership of the entire process, from design to delivery, and is capable of recognizing influences beyond their own scope and collaborating with other disciplines to mitigate them. • Is able to act as a mentor to junior colleagues and guide them in their development within the technical discipline and in general engineering competencies.
