Are you a driven Spatial Planning Consultant with a passion for urban development and area management? Do you enjoy working on challenging projects within both the public and private sectors? At TMC, you will have the unique opportunity to apply your expertise within our transparent model, deploying your talents across various consultancy and engineering firms or within government organizations. As a Spatial Planning Consultant at TMC, you work on challenging and complex spatial planning issues. You provide strategic advice on the design of the physical living environment and are involved in developing spatial plans. You collaborate with various stakeholders, including municipalities, provinces, engineering firms, and project developers. You will work on projects such as: - The development and restructuring of urban areas. - Drafting zoning plans and spatial justifications. - Advising on sustainable area development and infrastructure projects. - Conducting feasibility studies and environmental analyses. - Guiding procedures related to the Environmental Act. With your expertise, you contribute to the livability, sustainability, and future-proofing of cities and villages in the Netherlands.
What we expect from you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated advisor who is naturally proactive and takes responsibility within projects. You have a good sense of administrative relationships and seamlessly switch between various stakeholders. Additionally, you bring the following:
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at level C1/C2, both spoken and written.
- A completed education in the field of Spatial Planning or Built Environment.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience in spatial planning, preferably gained at a consultancy, engineering firm, or (semi-)government agency.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written. You are able to convey complex information clearly and understandably to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, such as the Environmental Act and the Spatial Planning Decree (BRO).
- Experience with planning processes, zoning plans, and assessing spatial plans.
- An analytical and solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail as well as the bigger picture.
- Flexibility and mobility; you are willing to work at various locations in the South of the Netherlands.
