About this vacancy
The role provides an end-to-end perspective of mission operations, combining systems engineering, simulation, and operational activities throughout the entire mission lifecycle. **Key activities of the role** - Definition, management, and maintenance of **mission operational requirements** for space and ground segments, starting from customer and stakeholder requirements. - Support for the **architectural definition** of systems and development of **CONOPS**, mission plans, and operational documentation (FOP, MOP, flight manuals). - Analysis of systems from an operations perspective and development of **operational procedures**, including automation through scripting. - Planning, execution, and coordination of **simulation, verification, and operational validation campaigns** (SVT/SOV), along with the associated reporting. - Support for activities at the **Mission Control Centre**, including the preparation of training materials and coordination with internal and external teams.
What we expect from you
- Native Italian speaker and fluent in English
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering
- Solid knowledge of Space Segment and Ground Segment architectures.
- Familiarity with Mission Control Systems and mission control software.
- Understanding of typical satellite platform architectures.
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience in real-time flight operations or space/ground system operations (+2 years).
- Knowledge of industry standards (ECSS, CCSDS).
- Good knowledge of Python.
- Experience in drafting mission operational documentation.
- Experience in Verification & Validation activities.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering processes and orbital and attitude dynamics.
