Software Engineer - (C/C++ & Real-Time Systems)

About this vacancy
The resource will work on highly technologically complex projects, contributing to the development, integration, and validation of software for systems based on RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), with a particular focus on VxWorks.
What we expect from you
Primary responsibilities:
- Design, development, and maintenance of software in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Development on real-time operating systems, in particular VxWorks
- Implementation and management of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C) and Ethernet
- Debugging, testing, and code optimization in real-time environments
- Collaboration with hardware and system engineering teams for integration and validation
- Preparation of technical project documentation
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields
- Experience in embedded software development
- Familiarity with debugging and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Strong knowledge of C and C++ languages; Matlab (mandatory)
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), preferably VxWorks
- Knowledge of main communication protocols: Serial (UART, SPI, I2C) and Ethernet (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Native Italian speaker with good knowledge of English
- Availability to work on-site 5/5 in La Spezia
