About this vacancy
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution and follow-up of files/projects according to the Public Procurement Legislation. You will be the point of contact for users and internal customers regarding advice on suppliers, problems with suppliers and/or ongoing contracts, editing files, application of public procurement legislation.
What we expect from you
As Public Buyer, you will:
- analyse the internal customer's demand and draws up the specifications on the basis of questions and input from users;
- define the selection and award criteria and is responsible for the technical procurement input;
- evaluate the tenders in consultation with users and internal customers;
- negotiate the best conditions with the suppliers;
- draw up the award report in consultation with users and internal customers.
- 2-3 days onsite in Leuven, 2-3 days remote
What you can expect from us
- You have a Master's degree in a commercial or technical field or Bachelor's degree with a technical or commercial procurement background.
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Category procurement in a public procurement role.
- You are driven by achieving results and believe in our credo ‘underpromise and overdeliver’.
- You can strike a good balance between diplomacy and assertiveness.
- Technical knowledge and/or affinity within contracting and the semiconductor sector are additional assets.
- Good knowledge of English and Dutch is required.
