About this vacancy
As a Project Management Officer (PMO), you support technical project and program managers in managing and successfully executing complex projects. From planning, resources, and risks to reports and stakeholder management: you ensure that the right information is available at the right time and help the project team make informed decisions.
What will you do?No project is the same. Depending on your experience and the environment in which you work, you will be involved in activities including:
- Drafting, monitoring, and optimizing project schedules and milestones.
- Tracking progress, deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Supporting resource, capacity, and budget planning.
- Identifying and following up on project risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Preparing project reviews, steering committees, and decision-making moments.
- Drafting and improving project reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Monitoring actions and ensuring agreements are followed up.
- Coordinating information between project management, engineering, operations, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
- Analyzing project data and translating it into clear management information.
- Contributing ideas to improve and professionalize project management processes and working methods.
In short: you are not just someone who records what happens, but above all someone who brings structure, thinks ahead, and helps keep projects manageable.
What we expect from you
We are not looking for a PMO who simply ticks boxes. We are looking for someone who is curious, dares to be critical, and enjoys working in the heart of a technical project environment.
Ideally, you have:
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Technical Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Experience as a PMO, Project Coordinator, Project Planner, Project Controller, or in a comparable project-based role.
- An affinity for technical and complex project environments.
- A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Experience in project planning, progress monitoring, risks, resources, and/or financial project information.
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably experience with project management and reporting tools.
- The ability to connect various stakeholders and keep people focused on agreements in a pleasant way.
- A proactive attitude: you do not wait for someone to ask for information, but proactively identify where action is needed.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
And perhaps most importantly: you thrive on dynamism. You feel at home in an environment where technology, people, deadlines, and interests come together.
