Job Description

We are seeking a Product Owner for one of our clients in the retail sector, with a technical profile to lead the evolution of digital products and act as a liaison between the business, users, and development teams.

The candidate must be able to transform functional needs into clear, prioritized, and technically feasible requirements, while maintaining a global vision of the product and its dependencies. 

They will work closely with development, architecture, UX/UI, and data teams, as well as with various business stakeholders.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical robustness of the product, collaborating with specialized teams to guarantee that solutions meet the company's standards for reliability, scalability, performance, and information security.

At the same time, they must ensure that the technical design adequately addresses business needs and contributes to the sustainable evolution of the product.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical vision and technological roadmap of the product, aligning them with functional priorities and business objectives.
• Act as the technical counterpart to the Business Product Owner, evaluating the feasibility of initiatives and making dependencies, risks, and technical implications visible.
• Actively participate in architecture and product design decisions, including system decomposition, interfaces, integrations, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are both functionally and technically solid, in collaboration with the Business Product Owner and development teams.
• Maintain and prioritize the technical backlog, balancing the development of new functionalities, issue resolution, platform evolution, and reduction of technical debt.
• Manage technical dependencies and coordinate interfaces with other systems and teams within the company’s technological ecosystem.
• Ensure the technical consistency of solutions and compliance with requirements for reliability, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with development teams during refinement, planning, and monitoring processes, facilitating decision-making and continuous quality delivery.
• Ensure product quality by defining acceptance criteria, validating solutions, and coordinating their preparation for production deployment.
• Propose different solution alternatives and adapt them flexibly when business needs, priorities, or constraints change.

What we expect from you

Key requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.
• Solid experience (approximately 3 years) in digital products. Technical knowledge of information systems, including:
  • APIs and web services.
  • Tables, relationships, dependencies, and queries (Snowflake).
  • Experience working with repositories, technical documentation, and delivery artifacts in GitHub.
  • Hexagonal architectures.
• Experience in detailed functional definition of digital solutions.
• Scrum certification.
• Leadership of agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
• Regular use of Jira, Confluence, and ALM environments.
• Analytical skills, data orientation, and tracking of product and efficiency KPIs.
• Good communication skills with technical and business profiles.

Work modality:

Availability to work onsite 2 to 3 days per week (Arteixo, A Coruña).
