Process Engineer

About this vacancy

As a Process Engineer with a focus on chemical processes, you become the expert within TMC who helps our clients elevate their treatment technologies to a higher level. Leveraging your expertise, you safeguard process conditions, quality, and safety, and translate technical insights into concrete improvements in stability, reproducibility, and environmental performance. In this role, you collaborate closely with technical teams to clarify process steps, optimize work instructions, and address deviations structurally. You play an active role in audits and compliance processes, both internally and externally, ensuring that processes meet demanding industry standards. Additionally, you advise management on technological choices, capacity expansion, and investments that contribute to the organization's future direction. Other responsibilities: - Developing and calculating mass balances, energy balances, and process configurations. - Drafting and managing PFDs, P&IDs, design bases, and process technical documentation. - Performing process simulations (e.g., Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, ProMax, or similar tools). - Executing process optimizations in the areas of safety, energy, performance, and costs.

What we expect from you

• Completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University Education) degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - At least 2 years of experience in process design, process optimization, or process engineering. - Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking ability. - Affinity with simulation and modeling tools (experience with Aspen/HYSYS/ProMax is a plus). - Excellent command of both Dutch and English language. - Willingness to travel occasionally, depending on the project.
